Abstract
Ever since standardization entered the realm of architecture, architecture has been a losing battle against boredom. This project is an attempt to find a way out. The idea is to create the maximum amount of delight with minimum number of elements. The typologies give rhythm to the plan and define the vertical connections, which are the core of “Urban Nature”.
How can architecture work in the way to make the space homogeneous with the urban realities?
“Urban Nature” sprang from the exigence to create continuity between the existent spaces and the future realities. Integration in the urban fabric is not enough, people are fundamental in the process.
Nature, Confort and Exposure
The scheme proposes a new type of architecture based on landscape qualities and a unique spatial setting resembling highland valleys and local forests vegetation. The project blends courtyard buildings, high-rise structures, row houses and apartment blocks into one new and unique development.
Urban Nature
“Urban Nature” proposes a new way of thinking the collective spaces: instead of separating completely the private and the common, it’s offered an integrated and mixed combination where the city flows inside “Urban Nature” until the terrace.
Building for Diversity
“Urban Nature” - the dense network of shared functions and activities - is framed by an exciting mix of housing typologies.
Sustainability and Construction System
The construction system of the building was thought in order to minimize the costs and to take the profit from the strong local industry.
