The scenario: an apartment from the 70's which had never been altered.
The challenge: a total renewal with the minimum budget.
The main idea behind the project was to settle priorities and hierarchies, making room for generous areas that could establish different relations.
All the walls were removed and the program divided in two, to west, the living room and kitchen, to east the bedrooms. On the core of the apartment, the entrance hall and the toilets.
To guarantee the biggest space possible and open relations between spaces, we placed two sliding panels separating the kitchen, the living room and the entrance hall. The sliding panels allow to use each room separately or in a more informal way, where the divisions are all connected, making sure that the day-to-day use is more fluid and easy.
